Research Interest: Research and public policy interest me because they do not go hand-in-hand as is commonly assumed. Rather, there are multiple levels of complexities and filters between the research performed by experts and the public policy enacted. Thus, the job of researchers and policy makers largely centers around compromise, feasibility, and incentives: adding a level of creativity and excitement to the task at hand.
