Bio/Description
Godwin is a Doctoral Researcher at Princeton’s ZERO Lab, where he explores possible futures and pathways to national-scale commercialization and deployment of emerging clean (firm) energy technologies across North America, the Arabian Gulf, and emerging African markets. He focuses on Oxy-Combustion (OCS) Power Cycles, particularly those fueled by natural gas and supercritical CO2—the world’s cleanest gas power plants with superior power density (e.g the Allam Cycle). His research examines their potential to power rapid economic growth in developed markets, and accelerate affordable, industrialization, and development in gas-rich emerging markets. He also investigates the role of state national and industrial policies in advancing this transition. Ultimately, his work aims to generate insights for guiding innovation, investment, research, energy policy, and planning decisions. Prior to Princeton, Godwin gained diverse experience in energy (Egbin Power Plc), FMCG (Procter & Gamble), entrepreneurship (Rockefeller Foundation-Acumen Social Enterprise Accelerator), and clean logistics (Bisedge Limited). In summer 2025, he will work at the World Bank, with the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) on financing sustainable infrastructure projects in emerging markets. Among others, he is a Rockefeller Foundation–Acumen Social Innovation Award winner, an Africa’s Top 100 Brightest Young Minds (2021) honoree, and a Princeton GradFUTURES Social Impact Fellow — the program’s signature award.
