Research Interest:  I'm passionate about public finance and the government use of financial tools to promote growth. I'm also interested in how government microfinance initiatives can increase equity and growth in developing nations. Most of all, I hope to study the links between cultural phenomena and economic policy-making. In high school, I was able to conduct research on the effects of labor deregulation and privatization on family formation in Japan.

Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, skiing, and reading about Japanese history and politics.
