Bio/Description
Michael Bordo is a Distinguished Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Monetary and Financial History at Rutgers University, Michael Bordo’s research spans economic and financial history, monetary economics, exchange rate regimes, financial crises, and globalization. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the IMF, the Federal Reserve Banks of St. Louis and Cleveland, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, and the Bank for International Settlement. A graduate of McGill University, he earned his M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
