John was born and raised in southern New Jersey. He graduated summa cum laude with a joint degree from the College of William & Mary and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he studied economics. Prior to matriculating at Princeton, John worked as a research associate at the American Enterprise Institute on a portfolio spanning monetary policy, international economics, and public finance. While at AEI, he contributed to several working papers and journal articles on the economic impact of COVID-19, Latin American monetary policy, and the evaluation of relief aid to state and local governments during the pandemic. Upon graduation, John hopes to continue to push fiscal and monetary policy in a more efficient, sustainable, and evidence-based direction.
