
Juan Pablo Alvarez Enriquez is an MPA candidate at the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at Princeton University. He previously completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico City. Before joining SPIA, Juan Pablo worked for four years at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Mexico, coordinating an innovative program to integrate refugees into the local economy. At UNHCR Mexico, he was a pioneer in advocating for financial inclusion for refugees. Juan Pablo has also worked at the Mexican Ministry of Finance and the Doing Business Project of the World Bank.
Originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, he is interested in international development and cooperation, poverty alleviation, financial inclusion, and political economy.
