Jonathon Hazell is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a joint appointment in the Department of Economics' Griswold Center. Hazell researches empirical macroeconomics, with a special focus on labor markets. Recent research topics include the relationship between wages and unemployment fluctuations, the consequences of changes in the labor share for business cycles, and the determinants of short-run fluctuations in inflation. Hazell holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. from the University of Cambridge. He will start as an Assistant Professor at the London School of Economics in 2021.
