Before Princeton Charlie worked as a negotiator for the UK's Presidency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change process. In this role he was part of the team that secured the Glasgow Climate Pact, agreed by 197 countries at COP26. Charlie worked closely on climate diplomacy and finance issues with counterparts internationally, including in Egypt, France, Germany, Turkey, United States, European Union, the World Bank and the United Nations.

Charlie would like to dive deeper into climate and finance policy while at Princeton. Among other things, he is interested in the political and economic factors shaping the global energy transition, and ways to scale up public and private finance for climate action.
