Class of 2022
Email Address:

Francis is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he lived until leaving to attend Brown University. After graduating in 2016 with a degree in international affairs, he moved to Washington, D.C., to work as an Atlantic Media Fellow. Francis later pivoted to strategic communications roles in D.C.-based nonprofits, first at the Washington Office on Latin America and later at the Center for a New Economy. In these roles, he has worked on communications and advocacy campaigns to advance progressive policies on a range of issues including immigration, government transparency initiatives, drug policy, and more recently, disaster recovery and economic development in his native Puerto Rico. He completed his MPA internship with the Income and Benefits Policy Center at the Urban Institute. At Princeton, Francis hopes to delve further into economic policy and explore how it intersects with natural disasters and climate change mitigation.
