Elessar Chen was a senior research specialist at the Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy and Finance. He joined the center in 2015, worked here for a year, and went on to pursue his Ph.D in Economics at Duke University. Elessar did his master’s study in financial mathematics at Columbia University and his undergrad study in economics and mathematics at Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing. His research interests lie in empirical macroeconomics and public economics.
