Katie Deal
Katie is a joint MPA/MBA student at Princeton SPIA and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. Katie is committed to developing policy interventions and investment strategies that further equitable economic development in the United States. Prior to Princeton, Katie led Public Policy Research at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, Maryland, where she translated government action into investment decisions across the firm’s equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios. Katie continued her passion for investing at Stanford, where she invested in early-stage startups through the Impact Fund’s Urban Development portfolio and explored the role of ESG and activist investing in shaping corporate board governance as a Leadership for Society Scholar. Katie graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Political and Social Thought, where she researched affordable housing and community development.
