Michael is currently pursuing a Master in Public Affairs with a specialization in Field IV, Economics and Public Policy. Before Princeton, Michael worked as a Policy Manager for the Honolulu City Council, where he developed proposals related to the City’s property tax system to promote equity and stabilize public revenues. He previously spent approximately four years advising Hawaii’s utility regulators on policies related to renewable energy integration, electric vehicle incentives, and related issues in support of Hawaii’s 100% clean energy goals. Michael has also run for public office, worked in political party leadership, and served on his neighborhood board.
