Brody is an MPA graduate of economics and public policy, who focused on the interactions of politics, fiscal policy and inequality from the Woodrow Wilson School. An Australian, he graduated from the University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Arts in economics and English. Before commencing the MPA program he spent more than three years working at the Australian Treasury in roles across macroeconomics, labor markets, fiscal policy analysis and forecasting and taxation policy. He also spent twelve months as a direct adviser to the Secretary to the Treasury. He has held prior roles with the Victorian state parliament, the Grattan Institute and the Economics Student Society of Australia.
