Bio/Description
Jackson is a candidate for a Master's in Public Affairs in International Affairs degree at Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. While at Princeton, he also supports the Bezos Earth Fund's Global Energy Innovation team, a $10 billion climate and environmental philanthropic fund. As a lifelong Alaskan, he’s interested in international climate and energy policy, geopolitics, and finance opportunities that impacts northern regions. Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Jackson helped lead the Arctic Encounter, an Alaska-based NGO, as its Managing Director. He also was part of the consultancy, Kallander & Associates, and worked with clients across the political, economic, and business sectors. Jackson previously worked with several public and private organizations, including the Wilson Center and U.S. Senate. He served as Political Director on the successful 2020 statewide Ballot Measure 2 race, implementing a historic reform of statewide open primaries and ranked-choice voting in Alaska. Jackson is a Harry S. Truman Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinguished Honors and degrees in Economics and Political Science from Boise State University.
