Bio/Description

Ajay Shroff has enjoyed professional and personal success since graduating summa cum laude from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in 1998.

After graduation, Ajay joined McKinsey & Company where he advised a variety of clients ranging from corporations to private equity firms on strategic, operational, and financial issues.  He was an integral member of the Corporate Finance and Private Equity & Principal Investing practices.  Ajay found his time at McKinsey so rewarding that he rejoined the firm after earning an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School in 2002.

In 2004, Ajay joined MSD Capital, the family office of Michael and Susan Dell, where he spent 10 years.  For 7 years he directly invested in both the credit and equity of public and private companies.  His last 3 years were spent as the firm’s Head of Risk & Strategy where he helped the co-founders of MSD Capital oversee the firm’s $10+ billion in equity, credit, and real estate assets while co-managing a best ideas portfolio that cut across multiple strategies at the firm.

Ajay left MSD in 2014 to become the Chief Investment Officer of Ridgeleigh Capital which offers investment advisory services to ultra-high net worth families.  His firm identified a gap in the marketplace and creates bespoke solutions to help clients achieve their investment goals within tight risk parameters.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Ajay is a proud member of the Regional Board of Teach for America, founded by Princeton alumnus Wendy Kopp.  Teach for America plays an integral role in the movement toward educational equity in our country.  Ajay resides in Summit NJ with his wife and two kids.
