Four experts analyzed the effectiveness of U.S. sanctions during a a panel discussion last October 16th. The event was sponsored by the Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy and Finance and organized by the Center's undergraduate associates. The panelist explained that sanctions are a diplomatic tool that can be used against nations or individuals. They also spoke about "secondary sanctions" that restrict U.S. business with any non-U.S, entities that have conducted business with a sanctioned state.
