Karsten Müller wins Ieke van den Burg Prize

Congratulations to JRCPPF postdoctoral associate Karsten Müller for winning the 2021 European Systemic Risk Board’s (ESRB) Ieke van den Burg Prize. The award recognizes outstanding research conducted by young scholars on a topic related to the ESRB’s mission in the macroprudential oversight of the European Union financial system and the prevention and mitigation of systemic risk. The prize is administered in the spirit of Ieke van den Burg's dedication to the belief that finance should serve society. Müller's winning paper, “Credit Allocation and Macroeconomic Fluctuations,” was co-authored with Emil Verner *18 (Assistant Professor, MIT).
