Inaugural Financial Economics of Insurance Workshop

June 18, 2018

The inaugural financial economics of insurance workshop took place at Princeton University on June 8-9, 2018. The workshop was organized by Motohiro Yogo (Princeton) and Ralph S. Koijen (NYU) with the goal of highlighting the importance of the insurance sector (outside of health) and developing a unifying framework to think about supply and demand in insurance markets.   The workshop was for PhD students and attendance was by invitation only. Thirty three students from eleven top universities from all over the United States participated in the workshop.  The workshop will be held again next year. Funding is provided by the National Science Foundation and the Bendheim Center for Finance.

The workshop's agenda, teaching notes, relevant literature and links to insurance data can be found on the Financial Economics of Insurance webpage.
