Alan Blinder's new book "A Monetary and Fiscal History of the United States, 1961-2021," covers sixty years of economic policy including ten U.S. presidents, eight Federal Reserve chairs, twenty-two Treasury secretaries, and one woman (Janet Yellen). In this book, Blinder, who is the Gordon S. Rentschler Memorial Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, charts the evolution of thinking about the relative importance of monetary and fiscal measures.
