For undergraduate students interested in entering the industry. Finance interviews are incredibly competitive, and students must be prepared with “real world” finance and accounting knowledge that’s not often taught in the classroom. This workshop walks students through the interview process and how to effectively answer common finance interview questions. We begin with an overview of the financial industry and typical post-undergraduate and MBA roles. Students then progress step-by-step through accounting, valuation, M&A, and leveraged buyout concepts commonly encountered in the technical interview. We pay particular attention to the level of detail needed to construct comprehensive answers that won’t leave interviewees vulnerable to increasingly technical follow-ups. By the end of the program, students will understand how to articulate key finance and accounting concepts in concise, well-structured responses.
